The Invisible Man Review (2020)

In March 2020, you will be presented with many exciting Hollywood horror movie titles. Well, there is one title that will make you scream while watching it, The Invisible Man . This one is a movie adapted from a HG Wells novel with the same title and remake of the James Whale feature film.
It could be said that this movie will be different from the original version. In fact, Leigh Whannell's feature film reveals the origin of the human eye. However, Whannell's version of The Invisible Man is not part of the Dark Universe like The Mummy (2017).

Different storylines from the Original Movie

The movie The Invisible Man tells the story of Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) who is trapped in a marriage relationship with Adrian (Oliver Jackson), a brilliant and wealthy scientist . Cecilia has always been a victim of her husband's violence.

When Adrian reportedly committed suicide, Cecilia refused to believe. He felt Adrian was still alive and always around him. In fact, Cecilia is constantly terrorized by invisible creatures.

The plot above is clearly different from the original film directed by James Whale. In contrast, Leigh Whannell as the director, the film focuses more on the character of Cecilia than the naked eye. In addition, Whannell also incorporates modern spice in the story you often find in science fiction films with optical technology. As a result, the story of the movie is easy to accept and makes more sense than the original version.

It looks like Whannell invites the audience into Cecilia's character throughout the film. Moreover, many scenes of tension and humor hit the spotlight. This shows Whannell's genius in working with horror films.

The Long Duration is a little boring

Doc. Universal Pictures
Featuring a fresh and engaging story, the film adapted from HG Wells's novel of the same title also never ran away from the novel. It also has a long duration of 2 hours and 5 minutes. This longer-than-average duration creates a boring long plot for those of you who love intense horror.

It is only natural to build a plot of the main character when the movie The Invisible Man takes time. It also makes the audience confused. Also, some parts have the same feel as in the movie Hollow Man (2000). Fortunately, the tension intensity is well maintained.

Awesome Acting by Elisabeth Moss

Elisabeth Moss's acting as Cecillia Kass plays well. The Golden Globe Award- winning actress was able to express Cecillia's emotions and madness over the "invisible" terror in the movie The Invisible Man .

In addition, Moss also managed to show the expression of trauma, torture, and devastation of Cecilia's character. Moreover, as he almost committed suicide by piercing his pulse with a pen, you will feel a sense of hopelessness. It wouldn't be surprising if he had a major role in this movie. Her appearance in the movie The Invisible Man proves that Moss is not a random actress.

Outside of Moss's stunning acting, the support of the supporting cast is enough to make the story of the movie feel more at stake. Like Storm Reid's portrayal of Sydney Lanier when he was terrorized by the invisible man.

Then there's Aldis Hodge as James Lanier. The emotions that James felt were well-expressed. Through some entertaining and engaging emotional dialogue, the 33-year-old has successfully given the film a unique color. Unfortunately, this portion of the character is not too much.

The Heartbeat and Scoring that Make the Heart Flutter

Doc. Universal Pictures
In addition to Elisabeth Moss's perfect acting, there are two other things that make this film more compelling, its mood and scoring . The craze was already felt from the beginning of the movie, as Cecillia tried to escape from home slowly, turning off the CCTV, always looking back.
Then, scoring this movie is quite impressive. For example, Leigh Whannell knows exactly when to cast a surprise by voice. This is a huge surprise to viewers during the scare jump scenes presented throughout the film.

Although there were gdzie obejrzec caly film some moments that felt compelled. The voices presented in this film are designed to reflect some of the key moments presented to the audience.

Regardless of the mood and scoring that makes the heart flutter, the shots in this movie are executed perfectly. Yep, the life-chasing action that lasts until the standard hit scene is well-presented. In addition, in terms of visuals this film successfully exemplifies the effects that we have suffered on our own.
